Great Work Y’all!

As 2012 comes to a close, HandsOn Willamette would like to take this opportunity to give you a well-deserved pat on the back. Why? Well, a lot of awesome things have happened in the past year and we want to let you know about all of them!

This past year, HandsOn has gone through some pretty considerable changes. Our name changed to HandsOn Willamette, we began our journey under the umbrella of the Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency, we went through a location transition, and we expanded our region to include Benton and Linn counties, but all of that is nothing compared to what you’ve done! Our community of volunteers has swelled to over 4,000 and the number of projects available through HandsOn’s community partners is more than 2,500! Those are some pretty incredible numbers! And they don’t stop there. In the last year alone, HandsOn facilitated around 10,500 volunteer referrals! That’s a lot of superheroes doing a lot of superheroing.

We’d like to give a special thank you to everyone who participated in our Service to Go program over the last year. Service to Go provides community service opportunities for families and individuals that fit their busy schedules and can be done in the home, classroom, or just about anywhere else. Our Service to Go volunteers were active for a total of 7,509 hours over the last year and they completed 7,536 individual pieces for our community partners!

Take this time to give yourself and the community around you a hearty pat on the back. Your work over the last year has created the positive change and community connections that make our world a better place to be. We’d like to thank you for making volunteering part of your ever day life. If you’d like to continue to make a difference or start the process today, visit HandsOnW.org to find out how.
