Howdy Partners!

HandsOn is gearing up for a great Martin Luther King Jr Day (MLK Day) 2013.  We have a lot of volunteers excited and ready to serve you!  We just need to know what they can do to help.  Below is a list of dates and times volunteer groups are available.  Because students will be signing up for projects BEFORE they go on Winter Break, we need to have project details by the end of November.  We do not need hard details of projects at this point, but an idea of what you plan to have volunteers accomplish is appreciated.

When: Monday, January 21st, 9:00-12:00 and/or 2:00-4:30

Who: Willamette University, Corban University, Chemeketa Community College and Salem Academy have joined forces and are serving together this year.  They will send groups of 10-20 out during the morning and afternoon sessions.  You can host a group in the morning or afternoon or both!

When: Friday, January 25th, 10:00-1:00

Who: Western Oregon University is sending groups of mentors and mentees out into the community to serve together.  They prefer projects with in walking distance of WOU’s campus but might be able to drive within Polk County.  One project for a group of 15 is ideal.

When: Saturday, January 19th

Who: Oregon State University

Email Melissa Padron if you are interested in hosting a group.  She will send you the necessary forms.
